Look, I am not one to be an alarmist, but the latest Ransomware is causing havoc around -the world today. This is all over the news across the world today.
Without getting into too many technical details, Ransomware encrypts your files and demands you pay money to get them back.
THERE IS NO WAY TO GET YOUR FILES BACK UNLESS YOU PAY THE RANSOM. PERIOD.
What can you do BEFORE you get hit?
If you have all Windows Updates installed, you are protected. But do not assume your updates are installed.

For Windows Vista, 7, 8/8.1 and 10, tap the Windows key and type “Updates”, then click to search “Check for Updates” and make sure that all Updates are installed.
